Mummyshots
Official Band Bio

Mummyshots is mostly a four-piece mostly-acoustic band. Former members of Hammerdown Turpentine and whatnot sing catchy rock songs about blue tigers and ghosts and horrible ladies and bees. Clever use of the xylophone is a crowd favorite. They've a new record coming out in 2012, and will likely play a show in San Francisco around then.

Jif Johnson and his lovely wife Lynn agree they are the core of the band. Lynn is quite the pianist, violinist, and accordionist. And Jif can fly through outer space. Clint Golden plays drums and probably thinks HE'S the core of the band. Bassist Donny Newenhouse prefers to think of himself as the band's focus. And did I mention the sporadically available Johnson Ryders: beautiful live women singing like background angels. And who's in the foreground? It's you, isn't it. Drinking a beer with tears running down your fucking face.

Mummyshots is a band of the aged for the ages. We live here in the City and work for money. What else do you want to know? The band enjoys manly things except for Lynn who enjoys womanish trifles. We are also full-fledged members of the Point Arena Horseshoe Club. None of us need a "date." Although we seem to slip out of the third-person.

Our music is free for some revealing reason. Get a free CD and play it for your neighbors. Sorry about the bad words. Mummyshots will release around two CDs a year and play a show for each, giving away the magic like a real magic, giving pal. All YOU have to do is not start another band called "Mummyshots" and we're cool.
